“Recyclable waste plastic awaiting processing
ECA Plastics’ expertise is in collecting for recycling  Polyethylene film,  (sometimes described as PE or LDPE or HDPE.) However we have successfully processed batches of Polypropylene film and moulded food containers and baled PETE bottles

ECAP accepts imperfect waste plastic for recycling. That is waste consumer material rather than only post production waste generated by manufacturers. However there are practical and legal limitations on the form of material we can accept.

Your waste should not contain food, or hazardous materials, e.g. broken glass or chemicals. It should be dry. Paper contamination is acceptable and we accept poorly sorted material containing and stray polymers and occasional pieces of cardboard. However the degree of contamination dictates its value. Thus we inspect every source of supply individually. Our declared interest is in contracting to collect recurrent regular supplies.

The material must be baled rather than loose bales weighing between 100 and 500 kilos. We can advise on the appropriate form of baling if that is helpful.

In order to offer a free of charge service you must provide the means of loading our vehicles with either a forklift or from a loading bay. The minimum quantity of material we will collect free of charge is 1 tonne within the M25 area and elsewhere in the UK, 5 tonnes.
